Bowls are extremely useful when preparing food.

Baking dishes are very useful in the kitchen for many preparations. They can be made of glass or metal and coated with a non-stick product.
I mostly use metal ones, which are shallow for cookies, cheese bread, vegetables, etc.; medium and deep rimmed ones for preparations that use liquids, varying the size of the baking dish depending on the amount of preparation.
I also use large glass ones for meat preparations.
